Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, announced in Doha the signing of several memoranda of understanding in various fields, most notably a memorandum of understanding between Egypt’s Sovereign Fund for Investments and the Qatar Investment Authority, and the field of ports.
Today, Wednesday, the Egyptian channel reported that “President Sisi and the Emir of Qatar are witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Egypt’s Sovereign Fund for Investments and Development and the Qatar Investment Authority.”
She added that “President Sisi and the Emir of Qatar are witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the field of social affairs between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Social Development of Qatar, as well as the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of ports between Egypt and Qatar.”
Earlier, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, expressed, today, Wednesday, to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, his “appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in support of Arab and Gulf affairs at all levels.”
The official spokesman for the Egyptian presidency, Ambassador Bassam Rady, said that “the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, received at the Amiri Diwan, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, where they held individual talks, followed by an expanded session of talks that included the delegations of the two countries,” according to the Middle East News Agency.
He also added that “Prince Tamim welcomed the historic visit of President Sisi and his first official visit to Doha, which comes as the culmination of the recent path of excellence in relations between the Egyptian and Qatari sides.”
