Severe embarrassment affects the makers of the series “Risala al-Imam”, which puts them before the court

The Syrian poet Huzayfa al-Araji announced that he had taken the first legal action against the company that produced the television work, “Risala al-Imam”, which is currently being shown in Ramadan and deals with the biography of Imam al-Shafi’i, one of the Muslim imams.

Al-Araji accuses the makers of the series of stealing poetic verses of his authorship and attributing them to Imam Al-Shafi’i in one of the episodes of the series, and he filed a lawsuit before the Economic Court in Egypt.

The series tells, in a historical context, the real events of the life of Imam Muhammad al-Shafi’i, and the difficulties he faced during his attempt during his career.
