Sheinbaum wins Mexico presidency

Mexico’s ruling left candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, has won the country’s presidential election, becoming the first woman to rule Mexico.
Sheinbaum is 61 years old and previously served as mayor of Mexico City.
Sheinbaum received 57.8 percent of the vote to center-right rival Sochetel Gálvez’s 29.1 percent.
Mexico’s 25 presidential candidates have been assassinated, with the country effectively ruled by drug cartels, mafias and criminals.
