Shekel declines after Netanyahu’s threat to Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s threat to war caused a major decline in shekels today, affected by the possibility of opening another front that will wreck Israel’s economy.
Netanyahu today visited the Kiryat Shamwa settlement in the north, and said Israel was ready for war against Lebanon.
This statement caused the shekel to decline by 0.6% against the dollar.
Israel’s war on two fronts since 7 October has caused huge losses to Israel’s economy, which has been projected by specialists at about $75 billion.
