Since the earthquake… 20 shakes per hour!

Turkey’s Emergency and Disaster Department has revealed that the number of aftershocks since the devastating earthquake struck at dawn on Monday, 6 February, to date is close to 10,000.
Just 20 days after the earthquake, one day on average shows 500 shocks, often centred on Turkish territory.
On average, the number of tremors per hour since the earthquake has reached about 21, as a terrifying figure, and observatories continue to record new tremors to date.
