Snoring causes and treatment

There are many reasons for snoring, the most important of which are:
The presence of certain diseases in the nose that lead to its obstruction, such as partial or total crookedness in the nasal septum, enlarged nasal cartilages or nasal polyps, or an increase in the size of the polyps located behind the nose, or enlarged tonsils in children or those who suffer from obesity.
Age: As age progresses, the larynx narrows more and more.
Congenital reasons: such as the narrowness of the larynx, the man’s throat is narrower than the woman’s, so snoring in men is one of the most common.
Nose and throat diseases: which leads to the closure of the airway, causing blockage of the airway.
Weight gain: which leads to sagging of the muscles of the roof of the mouth.
Smoking and sedatives: they lead to muscle relaxation.
Sleeping position: especially on the back, it blocks the airway.
The symptoms of snoring:
Feeling very lethargic during working hours. Headache when waking up.
Memory loss, frequent forgetfulness. Hypertension
Some of the ways to treat snoring include:
Treatment of nose diseases, smoking cessation and weight loss.
Adjust the position of your head while sleeping to get the highest amount of air.
Change your eating and drinking habits before bed and avoid fatty foods. Sleep on your side.
Surgery to remove polyps.
Olive oil: Olive oil is a strong and effective anti-inflammatory, so it treats the problem of snoring by eliminating infections formed in the airway, and it also works to expand it, giving room for the entry of oxygen and the exit of carbon dioxide easier, by drinking a cup of warm oil. With this method applied once a week.
Turmeric: Turmeric is one of the most important herbs for treating many diseases. It also treats nasal infections and snoring. Because it contains antibiotics, it also relieves pain and reduces snoring during sleep, and turmeric helps to get rid of snoring by putting turmeric herb in a cup of milk, then mixing them together, and drinking the mixture, and the process can be applied once a day.
Garlic: In addition to the enormous benefits of garlic in ridding the body of toxins and germs of various kinds, it is also used as a remedy for snoring, by eating a clove of garlic in the morning before eating anything, so this helps to breathe better and rid us of snoring permanently, and it is also considered as a Sinus treatment, which is a major cause of snoring.
Chamomile: Chamomile is used to treat many diseases and colds. Its benefits are not limited to that, as it helps to get rid of snoring. This is done by expanding the respiratory passages from which the air enters the lungs, by boiling its leaves, and drinking it twice a day for a whole week.
Cardamom: Cardamom is considered a powerful anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, and it also helps to strengthen the immune system, which gives an opportunity to breathe properly, and prevents snoring, by putting cardamom in a glass of milk, and drinking it, and this recipe is repeated for three consecutive days.
