Statement from the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs Regarding Last Night’s Events in the Syrian Coast
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condemnation on Friday of the actions committed by lawless groups in Syria, following their attack on the country’s security forces. In an official statement, the ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for the Syrian government in its efforts to maintain security, stability, and preserve civil peace.
This condemnation comes after violent clashes in the Syrian coast region last night, where Syrian security forces announced that they were engaged in battles in the western part of the country against groups affiliated with the former regime, led by former officers.
