Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati called for Israel’s withdrawal from all Lebanese territories, reaffirming his country’s support for the Lebanese Army.

After meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Abdel Ati stated that he delivered a written message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to President Aoun, which included an official invitation for Aoun to visit Egypt.

During the meeting, Abdel Ati stressed the importance of fully implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1701, emphasizing the need for Israel’s complete withdrawal from Lebanese territory. He also noted that the completion of Lebanon’s presidential election was a source of great relief for both the Lebanese people and the Egyptian leadership. Abdel Ati reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting Lebanon in its reconstruction efforts, expressing confidence that Lebanon will recover from its crisis under the leadership of President Aoun.
