Syria responds to OPCW accusations

Syria responded to the OPCW’s accusation of bombing the Duma region with a chemical weapon in 2018.
“Syria rejects the report of an OPCW team on an incident alleging the use of chlorine in Douma in 2018.”
It added: “The report lacks any scientific and substantive evidence and no specialist can reach the misleading conclusions of its contingents.”
It considered the “misleading report” to confirm the correctness of Syria’s position on the reports of the Prohibition Organization, “which all lacked credibility”.
It called on all States parties to the Prohibition Convention and the United Nations to assume their responsibilities to safeguard that organization’s independence.
