Syrian Minister of Electricity pledges to introduce two power plants in March

The Syrian Minister of Electricity, Ghassan al-Zamil, pledged to put the Aleppo Thermal Power Plants and Rastan in Latakia by service in the third month of this year.
In today’s remarks, Zamil revealed that the reason for the delayed placement of the Rastine and Aleppo plant was the delayed arrival of the gas pipeline cargo in the country, where they were planned to take off at the end of this month.
He stressed that the Government was trying to secure the substantial needs resulting from the destruction of the electrical grid and the damage caused by the illegal quarrying of some due to increased rationing hours and the lack of feeding hours.
