The European Union extends its sanctions against Turkey for this reason

The European Union has extended the validity of sanctions it previously imposed on Turkey for carrying out energy drilling in disputed waters in the eastern Mediterranean for an additional year.

The Council of the European Union announced that “today, after reviewing the restrictive measures imposed in response to Turkey’s illegal drilling in the Mediterranean, it took a decision to extend the sanctions for one year until November 12, 2022.”
