The Governor of the Banque du Liban reveals Lebanon’s reserves of the dollar

The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Riad Salameh, revealed the size of the foreign exchange reserves in the country.
He stressed that foreign exchange reserves decreased by $2.2 billion in 2022.
He noted that the bank still had more than $11 billion in usable reserves.
The Lebanese currency is witnessing a historically unprecedented collapse even during the 15-year civil war, when the Lebanese pound approached an exchange rate of 40,000 pounds to the dollar.
