The Lebanese government obtains the confidence of the House of Representatives

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri announced that Najib Mikati’s government won the parliament’s confidence with a majority of 85 votes, and 15 deputies voted “no confidence”.
The House of Representatives held a session that began at 11 am Beirut time at the UNESCO Palace, during which the ministerial statement was discussed and a vote of confidence was given to the “Together to Rescue” government.
And Mikati formed a government after several attempts by his predecessors that did not succeed, about a year after the resignation of Hassan Diab’s government following the explosion of the port of Beirut.
