The Pentagon: In Yemen, we are restoring the era of peace through strength.

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that American forces recently carried out precision strikes against the Houthis in Yemen, targeting more than 30 locations, including training sites, drone infrastructure, weapons manufacturing centers, and command and control centers. The Pentagon confirmed the elimination of dozens of Houthi leaders and the deaths of dozens of Houthi military personnel according to initial estimates, emphasizing that the strikes aim to restore freedom of navigation and reinforce American deterrence. The operation, it stated, is neither an endless campaign nor a regime change effort.
The Pentagon also noted that Iran has provided support to Hamas and Hezbollah and supplied the Houthis with reconnaissance systems and intelligence. Additionally, it explained that these strikes align with the “peace through strength” era reestablished by President Trump, emphasizing the use of overwhelming lethal force to achieve objectives.
Separately, the Pentagon reported incidents of the Houthis launching ballistic missiles and drones against U.S. forces, though these attacks were deemed ineffective.
In conclusion, during its media briefing, the Pentagon reaffirmed its commitment to defending the homeland and its sovereignty.
