The percentage of new home sales in America rose to its highest level in more than a year

New home sales in the United States of America rose by a large margin, the highest rate in more than a year, despite massive inflation and interest rate hikes many times over.
And the US Census Bureau data revealed that new home sales rose by 4.1%, to its highest level in 13 months, reaching 683 thousand homes in April, compared to 656 thousand homes in the previous month, and higher than expectations of 665 thousand homes.
The average new home price in April was $420.8 thousand, down 8.2 percent from a year ago.
Home sales last month were concentrated in the $300,000 to $499,000 price range.
