The reasons behind the resignation of the Tunisian Minister of Interior

Today, Tunisian Interior Minister Tawfiq Charafeddine announced his resignation from his post after attending the graduation of the 73rd session of the National Guard non-commissioned officers, indicating that the country’s President, Kais Saied, had accepted the resignation.

“The secretariat brought me to the Ministry of the Interior, and now the secretariat also brought me to remove this responsibility from myself, because another secretariat called me,” Sharaf El-Din said in his speech.

It is noteworthy that Sharaf al-Din’s wife had died last year, and that he wanted to devote himself to caring for his family, according to what was reported by local media.
