The return of Turkish-Egyptian tension, Cairo calls for canceling the deal of Turkish marches to Ethiopia

Reuters quoted Egyptian security sources as saying that Cairo had asked the United States and some European countries to help it freeze a deal under which Turkey would sell drones to Ethiopia. And any shipments of drones to Ethiopia threatens to fuel a row in the tense relations between Turkey and Egypt, which disagree with Addis Ababa over the Renaissance Dam that Ethiopia is building on the Blue Nile.

Four informed sources said that “Turkey has expanded its exports of armed drones by negotiating deals with Morocco and Ethiopia after their successful use in international conflicts.” Reuters reported, quoting a third Egyptian source, that any agreement should be presented and clarified in talks between Cairo and Ankara, through which they are trying to reform bilateral relations.
