The United States carried out a military strike in Kabul

US and Taliban officials confirmed that the United States carried out a military strike in the city on Sunday.
And US officials, who asked not to be named, said that the attack targeted suspected members of the “Khorasan Province” group affiliated with the “ISIS”, noting that this statement comes based on preliminary information.
This also comes in conjunction with the sound of a powerful explosion near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul today, likely caused by a missile attack.
For his part, the spokesman for the “Taliban”, Zabihullah Mujahid, confirmed in a statement to reporters that the United States launched an air strike targeting a suicide bomber behind the wheel of a car bomb who was planning to attack Kabul airport.
Local press reports confirmed that a missile bomb hit a residential house in the 11th security zone of Kabul, killing two people and wounding three, including women and children.
It is not yet clear whether this bomb was launched by the US military.
This comes in light of the bloody explosions that took place in the vicinity of Kabul Airport on Thursday and claimed the lives of about 200 people, including dozens of Afghan civilians and 13 US soldiers, and were claimed by ISIS.
