The US House of Representatives votes in favor of raising the debt ceiling bill

The US House of Representatives voted in favor of raising the debt ceiling in the United States before the final default deadline of June 5th.

 Members of the House of Representatives passed the legislation, called the “Fiscal Responsibility Act,” on Wednesday by a vote of 314-117, according to the agreement President Joe Biden’s administration reached with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
