The White House: Russian groups sympathetic to Ukraine may be behind the Belgorod attack

The White House confirmed that it had no information about the attack that targeted the Russian city of Belgorod today, and suggested the possibility that Russian groups sympathetic to the war in Ukraine were behind it.
The White House said in today’s remarks: “We do not encourage any support for the attack on the territory of Russia and focus on making sure that Ukraine can defend itself.”
For its part, Russian media said that one person was killed and 13 others were wounded as a result of the attack by a group of Ukrainian extremists on the Russian border city of Belgorod, while 70 Ukrainian fighters were neutralized.
