The World Bank provides 300 million dollars to the poor of Lebanon
The World Bank agreed to provide additional financing of $300 million to support poor families in Lebanon.
The World Bank said in a statement: “This is with the aim of supporting the social safety net to respond to the crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic in Lebanon.”
The statement indicated that this additional financing will allow “the continuation and expansion of the provision of cash transfers to the poor and most needy Lebanese families.”
He also indicated that the new funding will also contribute to “supporting the development of a unified system of social safety nets that can better respond to current and future shocks.”
