Trump Unveils His Tariff Plan… These Countries Will Be Hit the Hardest

U.S. President Donald Trump has outlined his tariff war strategy, calling it “reciprocal tariffs.” His decision aims to halt the flow of goods into the U.S. from countries around the world.

Trump stated that he seeks fairness in trade and will impose reciprocal tariffs, explaining that whatever tariffs other countries impose on the U.S., he will impose the exact same in return—no more, no less. He emphasized that any country that imposes a tax or tariff on the U.S. will face the same tariff or tax in response.

He added, “These countries have been imposing much higher tariffs on us than we impose on them, but those days are over.”

Trump also revealed that a new round of tariffs will be introduced, particularly targeting automobiles, which he considers a key factor in the U.S. trade deficit. However, he postponed the announcement until next April.

In a related context, the U.S. imports the largest volume of goods from Mexico, with a total value exceeding $506 billion. Other major exporters to the U.S. include China ($439 billion), Canada ($413 billion), Germany ($160 billion), Japan ($150 billion), Vietnam ($137 billion), and South Korea ($132 billion).
