Turkey: The presence of “terrorists” in northern Syria is unacceptable

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar stressed, in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Shoigu, that the presence of anti-Ankara Kurdish forces in northern Syria is unacceptable, describing them as terrorists.
“The destabilizing actions in northern Syria will be answered,” Akar said during the phone conversation.
The United States had warned Turkey against launching a new military operation in northern Syria.
