Turkish Minister Reveals the Condition of Aleppo and Damascus Airports

Turkish Minister of Transport, Adil Karaismailoğlu, has confirmed that airports in Syria require a complete restructuring and extensive repairs.

In press statements, Karaismailoğlu stated, “We sent a team of six experts to Aleppo and Damascus airports, and we found that the airports lack radar systems. Additionally, the computers in use date back to the 1980s, and there are no ILS (Instrument Landing Systems) to guide aircraft.”

Turkey had sent a specialized team last Tuesday to conduct necessary inspections at the Damascus and Aleppo airports.
