UK resorts to this solution to fill fiscal deficit

The new prime minister, Rishi Sunak, is seeking to bridge the country’s fiscal gap by imposing more taxes.
“Given the size of the fiscal black hole, the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance have agreed that strict decisions are needed on tax increases, as well as on spending,” the ministry said today.
For its part, the official BBC noted that the financial gap could reach at least £50 billion.
