Victims of torrential rains and floods formed in just two hours in central Italy

The Italian local authorities announced that at least eight people were victims of torrential rains and floods in the central Marche region on Thursday night, while rescuers continued to search for four missing persons.
Nearly 400 millimeters of rain fell within two to three hours, flooding the streets of several towns around Ancona, the region’s capital on the Adriatic coast.
Websites and social media pages circulated footage published by emergency teams, rescuers on rafts trying to evacuate people in the coastal town of Senigallia, while others were trying to remove debris from a tunnel.
