Warning of an upcoming famine in Lebanon

The retired Lebanese Armed Forces warned of what they called the “coming famine” and called for swift action to confront it.
The National Authority for Retirees of the Armed Forces said that “living conditions in Lebanon are slipping to below zero,” noting that workers’ salaries have lost 90% of their purchasing value.
Lebanon is witnessing a very bad economic situation, with the Lebanese pound recording record levels of collapse against the dollar, reaching 38,000 pounds per US dollar.
