White Helmets Reports Document Casualties from Syrian War Remnants Between November 27 and January 4

The Syrian Civil Defence (White Helmets) reported that 75 people were killed or injured due to the explosion of landmines and other war remnants across Syria during the period from November 27 to January 4.
According to the report, these incidents resulted in the deaths of 32 civilians, including 8 children and one woman, while 43 others, including 19 children, were injured.

The Civil Defence highlighted that the most significant incidents occurred in the Idlib countryside, where a landmine explosion in the village of Kafarmous on Sunday, January 5, led to the severe injury of three civilians.

On another note, the Civil Defence also mentioned the continued efforts of demining teams, which have destroyed 822 unexploded ordnances since the beginning of December 2024, including several cluster bombs. The White Helmets also reported that their teams had identified more than 80 contaminated areas with unexploded munitions, stressing that these operations are ongoing based on reports from local civilians.

The suffering of Syrians continues as the legacy of war wreaks havoc, with war remnants still posing deadly threats and causing significant damage across vast areas of the country.
