Will the Egyptian gas exported to Lebanon be subject to “Caesar” sanctions?

He urged the US mediator in the indirect negotiation process to demarcate the border between Lebanon and Israel, Amos Hochstein, to expedite the completion of border demarcation talks.
Hochstein said that “solving the border problem would help alleviate the electricity crisis that Lebanon is going through by allowing it to develop its offshore gas resources.”
The US diplomat revealed that the gas pipeline coming from Egypt through Jordan and Syria to Lebanon will not be subject to the US “Caesar’s Law” sanctions imposed on Syria, and therefore the arrival of gas to Lebanon will be facilitated by the United States.
