Xiaomi Unveils Next-Gen Bone Conduction Headphones: Water-Resistant and Designed for Athletes
Xiaomi has officially launched the second generation of its bone conduction headphones, marking a significant development in smart audio technology. Unlike traditional earphones that transmit sound through the ear canal, this technology delivers audio via vibrations through the cheekbones, allowing the user to hear content while remaining aware of ambient sounds.

Beyond audio capabilities, the headphones integrate smart sensors that monitor swim activity, including distance covered, speed, stroke count, and breathing angle. These metrics are tracked using advanced algorithms developed in collaboration with Suunto. The device also includes 32GB of internal storage, enabling music playback without the need for a connected phone.
The headphones offer up to 12 hours of battery life and support fast charging. They are currently available in the Chinese market at a retail price of approximately 699 yuan (around USD 96).
This release reflects Xiaomi’s ongoing focus on developing intelligent solutions that align with modern lifestyle needs.
