Cooperation between Russia and Armenia

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the participants in the Ninth Interregional Forum between Russia and Armenia, noting that Russia and Armenia have gained extensive experience in cooperation in various common areas.
Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum in Yerevan: “This year our country celebrates the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance. It is important that Russia and Armenia have gained extensive experience in the past,” adding that “constructive cooperation In various fields, bilateral relations were at the level of the worlds of allies.”
The Russian President stressed that interregional cooperation is an important element in Russian-Armenian relations, as Russia and Armenia interact in various fields through the implementation of large joint projects and initiatives, in addition to exchanging views on basic and substantive issues and setting out outlines for new cooperation programs, including in the areas of trade. Investment, education, tourism and digital technologies.
Putin also expressed his confidence that the ideas and proposals in the forum will be required in practice, and will strengthen the partnership between the two countries and promote mutually beneficial integration processes in the Eurasian space.
In addition, the forum’s program includes holding round tables to discuss issues of cooperation in building the logistical and investment capabilities of the regions, developing digitization, as well as humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Armenia.
