Sergej Milinković-Savić opened the scoring in the 31st minute before Sultan Mandash doubled the lead at the start of the second half. Nasser Al-Dawsari completed the scoring in the 88th minute. Dutch newcomer Crysencio Summerville missed the chance to add a fourth when his penalty struck the crossbar in the 81st minute.

Al Hilal vs. Al Fayha: Milinković-Savić Breaks Mosquera’s Resistance
The final score did not fully reflect the challenge Al Hilal faced early in the match, as Al Fayha goalkeeper Orlando Mosquera produced a series of saves that delayed the visitors’ breakthrough.
Al Hilal went close on several occasions before Mosquera intervened to deny successive attacking attempts. At the other end, Fashion Sakala threatened Al Hilal on a quick counterattack, sending a shot narrowly wide of the post in the 26th minute.
The breakthrough came in the 31st minute. Mosquera saved an effort from Summerville, but the ball fell to Milinković-Savić, who converted the rebound to give Al Hilal a lead they carried into halftime.
The goal changed the course of the match, forcing Al Fayha to push for an equalizer while creating more space for Al Hilal to attack after the break.
Sultan Mandash Doubles Al Hilal’s Lead
Al Hilal needed little time in the second half to extend their advantage. In the 46th minute, Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly delivered a long ball to Sultan Mandash, who beat an Al Fayha defender before finishing past Mosquera.
Mandash’s influence extended beyond the goal. He repeatedly threatened the home defense and nearly scored again in the 76th minute when his effort struck the post.
Mandash was named man of the match after helping Al Hilal establish a comfortable advantage early in the second half.
Al Fayha, meanwhile, attempted to find a way back into the game, with Brazilian Hugo Moura forcing Yassine Bounou into action in the 61st minute. The Moroccan goalkeeper made the save to preserve his clean sheet.
Summerville’s Panenka Attempt Denies Al Hilal Another Goal
Crysencio Summerville came close to scoring on more than one occasion. After contributing to the move that produced Milinković-Savić’s opener, he was handed a direct opportunity from the penalty spot with nine minutes of regulation time remaining.
The penalty was awarded after substitute Theo Hernández was fouled, but Summerville attempted a Panenka and sent the ball against the crossbar.
It was not the Dutchman’s only opportunity. He had also found himself with a sight of goal in the 66th minute but sent his effort over the bar.
Despite the missed penalty, the direction of the match did not change, with Al Hilal continuing to pose the greater attacking threat into the closing minutes.
Nasser Al-Dawsari Completes Al Hilal’s 3-0 Win Over Al Fayha
Mosquera continued to prevent Al Hilal from extending their lead, denying an effort from Sultan Mandash in the 83rd minute, but Al Fayha’s defense could not keep out a third goal.
In the 88th minute, Nasser Al-Dawsari met a cross inside the penalty area. After the goalkeeper intervened, the ball returned to Al-Dawsari, who finished the move to seal a 3-0 victory.
The closing stages also featured Sabri Dahal, 18, making his first league appearance for Al Hilal against his former club Al Fayha. The league’s official report said he played an active role in the move that led to the third goal.

The victory gives Al Hilal a stable start to a long campaign, but with only two rounds played, it remains too early to draw conclusions about the direction of the title race.
