Iranian source: “Outreach” with Washington.. Tehran ready to listen

An Iranian source told CNN that there has been “outreach” between Washington and Tehran via intermediaries, and that Iran is ready to listen to “sustainable” proposals to end the war, though the contact has not yet reached the level of full negotiations.
The source added that the proposals under consideration aim not only for a ceasefire but for a tangible agreement to end the conflict between the two countries, noting that Tehran is prepared to consider any workable proposal.
The source stressed that Iran is not requesting direct talks with the United States, but is willing to listen if it finds a plan for a sustainable agreement that guarantees its national interests.
The source insisted that any proposal must include the lifting of all sanctions on Iran, affirming that Tehran is ready to provide guarantees that it will never develop nuclear weapons, while retaining its right to peaceful use of nuclear technology.
