Pope Francis concludes a 38-day treatment journey.

Dr. Sergio Alfieri, the head of the medical team supervising Pope Francis, announced that the Pope will leave Gemelli Hospital in Rome on Sunday after a 38-day treatment period. Alfieri explained that the Pope will return to the Santa Marta residence, his home in the Vatican since his election as Pope in 2013, where he will continue a recovery and rest period lasting at least two months, along with partially continuing medication.
During a press conference held on Saturday at Gemelli Hospital, Alfieri stated that the Pope’s clinical condition is stable and added, “We are pleased to announce that he will be home tomorrow.”
