6 marches targeting the American base

Air defense systems operated by the US-led coalition forces stationed in eastern Syria responded to six drone attacks targeting their base in the Conoco oil field.
The source stated that the air defenses tried to confront the missiles without being able to shoot them down, noting that the new targeting of the base came shortly after a similar attack on the American base in the Koniko gas field. These factions claimed responsibility for dozens of attacks on American forces in Iraq and Syria since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
Last week, the United States launched strikes on sites in Iraq and Syria, in response to its forces at a base in northeastern Jordan being attacked by a drone on January 28, which killed three American soldiers and injured dozens.
The coalition forces are facing increasing attacks from Iraq and Syria amid tension in the region since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7.
Fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces, deployed alongside American forces to fight the remnants of ISIS, are also becoming more vulnerable to the danger associated with regional turmoil, as the bases hosting American forces and fighters of that group in Syria have been subjected to a series of attacks by drones and missiles.
Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, told Reuters last week that the United States should send more air defense systems to Syria to protect its bases, after six of the group’s fighters were killed in a drone attack.
