Araghchi to his Omani counterpart: We respect Syria’s territorial integrity

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed in a press conference on Monday, after meeting his Omani counterpart, Badr al-Busaidi, in Tehran, that his country’s position aligns with Oman’s regarding the formation of an inclusive government in Syria and respecting Syria’s territorial integrity, while refraining from interference in its internal affairs.

Araghchi also emphasized the need to end the Israeli presence in Syrian territory, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

Regarding bilateral relations, Araghchi stated that cooperation between Iran and Oman is expanding in various political and economic fields, noting that Busaidi’s visit “came at the right time.”
