Aramco Jazan target: Houthis repeat their attack on the refinery with two drones
Yemen’s Ansar Allah (Houthi) group announced today that it targeted a Saudi Aramco refinery in the Jazan region using two drones, in the second such attack in days.
The group’s Saba agency quoted a military source as saying that “the Yemeni armed forces targeted the Aramco refinery in the Jazan region with two drones,” adding that the targeting came “in response to Saudi violations of Yemeni airspace in Saada and Hajjah provinces,” according to the agency.
Escalating strikes and repeated targeting of oil facilities
This attack comes days after a similar strike last Sunday targeting the same refinery with a drone. In recent weeks, the group has repeatedly attacked Saudi oil facilities and tankers as part of escalating tensions in the region.
Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry had earlier announced that firefighting teams managed to contain a fire at a facility within the Jazan Aramco refinery, noting that no casualties were reported, without specifying the cause.

Arab condemnations of the attacks
Recent days have seen a series of Arab condemnations of attacks targeting the Kingdom, with Egypt, the Arab Parliament, and a number of Arab countries affirming their rejection of any military action that violates the security and sovereignty of Arab states, calling for respect for international law and preventing the escalation of tensions that threaten regional security and stability.
