The Israeli news outlet Ynet has reported that Israeli authorities have decided to close the airspace surrounding the venue of Avner Netanyahu’s wedding, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, scheduled to take place next Monday.

According to the report, an official notice was issued to pilots informing them of a temporary airspace restriction within a 1.5-kilometer radius around the “Ronit Farm” estate, located north of Tel Aviv. The closure will be in effect for 10 hours on the day of the wedding. The directive exempts police helicopters but includes a ban on drone flights.

Israeli media indicated that the wedding was initially planned for the previous year but was postponed due to security-related concerns. These included risks associated with the Prime Minister’s safety, following a prior incident in which a drone—allegedly launched by Lebanon’s Hezbollah—struck a window of a Netanyahu family residence in the coastal city of Caesarea, north of Tel Aviv. The incident caused material damage, though no injuries were reported, as the house was unoccupied at the time.

In a related development, Avner Netanyahu’s engagement ceremony had drawn anti-government protests. Several hundred demonstrators gathered outside the home of the bride’s family, Amit Yardeni, during the event, which was attended by members of the Prime Minister’s family.
