Belarus readiness for its Russian missile system

The Belarusian Ministry of Defense revealed the completion of a training course on the “Iskander” tactical missile systems and the “S-400” air defense systems that were deployed in Belarus, stressing that they are ready to perform their duties.

And the head of the main directorate of ideology in the ministry, Leonid Kasinsky, said, “These types of weapons are in combat service today and are fully ready to perform the tasks assigned to them.”

Kasinsky added, “The Belarusian army, which operates the Iskander and S-400 systems, has been fully trained in the joint combat training centers of the Russian and Belarusian armed forces.”

And the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Galuzin, confirmed earlier that the “S-400” and “Iskander” air defense systems, provided by Moscow to Minsk, will increase the effectiveness of the joint air defense between Russia and Belarus.

In particular, the Belarusian Armed Forces received the latest Russian weapons, S-400 air defense systems and Iskander short-range ballistic missile systems, Galuzin said.

“This would improve the combat capability of the Belarusian army and the efficiency of the joint Russian-Belarusian air defense system,” Galuzin stressed.

Belarus expressed its concerns about the presence of NATO forces near the country’s borders, noting that these forces could create strike groups against the country and against the Russian Federation.

“The NATO forces located near the border can become the basis for creating strike groups against the republic and Russia,” said Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin.
