Bosnian Serb Leader: German Efforts to Form a European Front Against Trump’s Policies

Bosnian Serb Republic President Milorad Dodik accused Germany of forming a European alliance opposed to the policies of former U.S. President Donald Trump. In an interview with the American magazine American Conservative, he stated that there is a “clear similarity” between his case and that of Romanian opposition politician Călin Georgescu, pointing out that political and intelligence entities in Germany are working to strengthen Berlin’s influence in Europe.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an arrest warrant for Dodik, Bosnian Serb Prime Minister Radovan Višković, and Parliament Speaker Nenad Stevandić on charges of “undermining the constitutional order.”
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called for an end to what she described as the political persecution of Dodik, emphasizing the need to restore dialogue among Bosnia and Herzegovina’s political factions.
This development coincided with a political crisis in Romania, where the Constitutional Court annulled the results of the first round of the presidential elections held in November 2024 and barred Georgescu from running in the second round in March 2025, deeming his candidacy “unacceptable.”
