Reuters reported, citing Israeli media, that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed the families of Israeli hostages held in Gaza that Israel has accepted a new ceasefire proposal for the Gaza Strip, presented by U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

According to the proposal, the ceasefire would last for 60 days, during which several living Israeli hostages would be released, and the remains of others would be returned. The plan also includes the resumption of humanitarian aid deliveries through the United Nations.
