At the conclusion of the Cabinet session, Lebanese Information Minister Paul Morcos stated that the implementation of the U.S. paper in Lebanon is contingent on other countries—primarily Israel—since the Lebanese side has already taken two steps without any reciprocal move from Israel.
Morcos added that the Cabinet welcomed the Lebanese Army’s plan to restrict all weapons to the authority of the state and formally took note of it.
He further explained that the Lebanese Army will act within the framework defined during the August 5 session, maintaining operational discretion. The Army will submit a monthly report to the Cabinet, though some measures will require additional time for implementation.
