Corona restrictions extended in Tunisia

During a press conference to assess the general situation in light of the spread of Corona, Tunisian Minister of Health Fawzi Mahdi announced that the National Authority to Combat Corona decided to extend the preventive measures until the 7th of next March.

He pointed out that positive signs of the epidemiological situation were recorded, including a decrease in the infection rate in Corona and a decrease in the number of hospital patients to 1678 patients, compared to an average of 2310 patients during the past weeks.

Tunisian minister pointed out that the rate of infection cases decreased to about 20% of the total daily analyzes, compared to 30% during the past weeks.

preventive measures adopted by Tunisia since January 15, 2021, are partial quarantine, prevention of gatherings and demonstrations, and curfews from 8 at night until 5 in the morning.
