Egypt expresses its concern over the events on the Syrian coast.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its concern regarding the clashes that took place in the province of Latakia in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, resulting in a number of casualties and injuries.

It affirmed its supportive stance for the Syrian state and its national institutions and stability in facing security challenges.

It called for the initiation of a political process that ensures the participation of all spectra of the Syrian people without exclusion and guarantees the rights of all sects in Syria.
