Trump’s Meeting with Arab States on Gaza… Egyptian Foreign Ministry Outlines Details

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty revealed the background of a meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and several leaders from Arab and Islamic countries in New York, which focused on ways to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Abdelatty noted that Trump addressed key issues, including rejecting annexation, reconstruction of Gaza, implementing a large-scale economic plan, ensuring residents remain in place, and allowing the return of those displaced from the enclave.

The minister explained that Trump’s proposals represent important steps toward halting the conflict, though Arab and Islamic states await an official announcement of the vision. He added that Egypt continues to stress the necessity of enforcing a ceasefire, pointing out that the ongoing humanitarian situation in Gaza remains a source of international concern.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, with the participation of leaders and representatives from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan, along with senior U.S. officials.

The discussion featured the presentation of “Trump’s 21-Point Plan,” which includes a temporary ceasefire, the release of remaining hostages, expanded humanitarian assistance, withdrawal of Israeli forces, and the deployment of Arab–Islamic stabilization forces in the enclave.
