Gulf Cooperation Council Calls on International Community to Take Immediate Action on Regional Developments

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Al Budaiwi, announced that the foreign ministers of the GCC member states will hold an extraordinary meeting via video conference today, Monday, to discuss recent developments, particularly the Israeli attack on Iran.

In an official statement, Al Budaiwi confirmed that the meeting, chaired by Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, will address the latest regional and international developments related to the Israeli conflict with Iran.

The Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General called on the United Nations Security Council and the international community to assume their responsibilities in immediately halting the conflict and preventing any escalation that could trigger a wider dispute threatening regional and international peace.
