Iran Highlights Underground Missile Capabilities: “We Can Launch Missiles Daily for Two Years If Necessary”

Major General Ebrahim Jabari, senior advisor to the Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated that Iran’s armed forces are in a high state of readiness to respond to any external attack. He emphasized that the country possesses extensive underground missile infrastructure, much of which has yet to be publicly disclosed.

In an interview with the Iranian news agency Mehr, Jabari said: “The underground missile cities and facilities we possess are enormous, and what we have revealed so far represents only a small portion of our national defense capabilities.” He added, “If a war breaks out between Iran and either Israel or the United States, we are capable of launching missiles on a daily basis for two years without depleting our arsenal.”

Unrevealed Capabilities and Operational Readiness

Jabari noted that what has been shown publicly so far relates primarily to the IRGC’s aerospace division. He asserted that Iran’s full range of defense and missile capabilities remains largely undisclosed. He also indicated that not all military branches—including the army, the IRGC, and both ground and air forces—have been fully mobilized, warning that further escalation could prompt a broader response, potentially involving what he referred to as the “Resistance Front.”

In a related development, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader for military affairs, stated that certain units such as the naval forces and the Quds Force have not yet been deployed. He emphasized that Iran’s missile industry and peaceful nuclear program are the result of domestic innovation and scientific advancement, making them resilient to external threats.

Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, added that Iran would deliver a “decisive and serious” response to any potential aggression, suggesting that such a response would impose consequences on the attackers.
