Iran Officially Responds to Trump’s Threats to “Hit It Hard”
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it had delivered a warning message to the Swiss Embassy in Tehran, which represents U.S. diplomatic interests, regarding any potential attack on the country.
The ministry stated that the embassy was informed that Iran’s response to any acts of aggression would be “strict and immediate.”
The statement pointed out that explicit threats from the leader of a state constitute a clear challenge to the foundations of international peace and security. The ministry emphasized that violence only leads to more violence, while peace leads to peace, urging Washington to choose between the two paths and accept the consequences.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, had earlier on Monday, during an Eid al-Fitr sermon, affirmed that the United States and Israel would receive a “severe blow” if they attacked Iran.
