The Israeli army continues assessing the situation and confirms readiness for any potential escalation

Israeli sources reported on Wednesday evening that Tel Aviv is preparing for the possibility of a significant escalation in attacks from Iran and the Lebanese group Hezbollah during the night.

Israeli army spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said the military is prepared to defend civilians, noting that there have been no changes to the defense policy of the Home Front Command so far. He added that the Israeli army continues to conduct ongoing assessments of the situation.

Israeli sources familiar with the matter also said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a meeting with senior political and security officials to discuss the latest developments.
