Israeli Casualties in Gaza Bombing – Netanyahu’s Plan Revealed

A senior Hamas official in Gaza revealed that an Israeli hostage was killed, and two others were wounded due to the intense Israeli airstrikes that resumed late Monday night. This was reported by Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper.

The unnamed Hamas leader reiterated that the only way for Israeli hostages to leave Gaza alive is through negotiations. He accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government of deliberately endangering them after failing to secure their release through political means, in an attempt to avoid the political consequences of their captivity.

Meanwhile, the Israeli news site Walla reported that Netanyahu’s government’s decision could extend the conflict for months, resulting in the deaths of many soldiers in another ground offensive, as well as the deaths of thousands of Palestinians and further destruction in Gaza. The report also warned that this strategy puts the remaining Israeli hostages at severe risk. Politically, the site noted that, contrary to Netanyahu’s claims, testimonies from released hostages indicate that military pressure has primarily led to the killing of captives rather than their release. It also linked the decision to resume the war with renewed public protests against the government over its push for a “legal coup” and the undermining of democratic institutions.

Gaza’s health authorities reported that ongoing indiscriminate Israeli bombings since yesterday have killed 412 Palestinians and injured more than 500, most of them women and children.
